Six Worst Holdem Hands Ever

There are some 1,320 good starting holdem hands we can play, say experts, so there's no reason why we would rather content ourselves with Holdem's 10 worst.

The off suit two and seven hand is first in line. Aside from being the lowest cards that cannot result into a straight because to connect them needs 4 more cards, even if suited, they result to a low flush hand. Should any of them pairs, it'd still be a low hand. A two-seven hand is tolerable for fun plays. In fact it's called "hammer" online.

A two-eight hand is a mere point higher than 2-7, and that's not much. And because of this it also won't do as a high card. Thus, it also doesn't matter if it's suited or otherwise. A 3-7 hand sounds a bit better than the two aforementioned, but it still sucks. A slightly higher hand is a 3-8 hand, beating 2-7 and 28. But it still is far from converting into a straight.

How about the 2-6 hand? If we're lucky enough to have the flop come up with 3, 4, and 5 then we go for a straight. A flush is possible, but a low one that will easily succumb to higher flushes. This is estimated to have a 90 percent losing chance even on a table of 5. As for Holdem hands of 2 and 9, 3 and 9, and 4 and 9, the one good thing about them is the 9 factor. If say, the nine results to a pair we got a middle pair, but that's nothing compared to a suited pocket 10, or suited pocket J, Q, K, or A. A board of low cards may seem to be encouraging with this scenario, butu don't count on it. Even straights here aren't possible at all.

The sixth worst hand is the 2-10. Sure, legendary Doyle Brunson won the World Series of Poker two times with this hand, but that's the point. We can only win with this hand if we're Doyle Brunson. Otherwise, don't attempt even small-time poker gambling with it, much less, a World Series. A hand of 5 to 9 or 9 to 5 isn't any use except probably as a "Dolly Parton" poker joke, the "work-from-nine-to-five" song she popularized in the 1970s.

Now we have a good idea what doesn't work in Holdem. Most times, if we hold worst Holdem hands, we'd better play them as Fold'em hands and go bet on Jazzsports.com, online casino and sports betting.
